ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Hoyt Barber has a diverse international business background
and has been a recognized authority on tax havens and offshore
banking for the past 20 years.
Barber has authored nine books, this being his seventh nonfiction
book and sixth business/investment title. He has also written an entertainment
reference book, The Book of Bond, James Bond. His previous offshore
book, Tax Havens: How to Bank, Invest and Do Business—Offshore
and Tax Free, was published by McGraw-Hill for 10 consecutive years and
went through nine printings between 1993 and 2002.
Barber has completed two international thrillers, the first of
which is scheduled for release in October 2006, entitled From Hell to
Havana, Durban House Press, Houston, Texas.
Meanwhile, Barber is writing his next nonfiction book, Secrets of
Swiss Banking: An Owner’s Guide to Quietly Building a Fortune, planned for
publication in 2007.
Today, Barber is President of Barber Financial Advisors in Vancouver,
British Columbia, Canada, a provider of offshore financial
services, and is publisher of Offshore Dossier newsletter, written for offshore
investors and expatriates.
His other interests have included f lying, boating, diving, fishing,
horses, cooking, travel, books, and his three daughters.
