PUNISHMENT NORMS IN THE STATUTE OF THE INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT AND IN THE CRIMINAL CODE OF UKRAINE: THE ISSUE OF THEIR CONFORMITY S. Kuchevs’ka

After signing the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court by Ukraine, the issues
of its ratification and its harmonization with the national legislation have arisen. Having
researched this issue, the author came to the conclusion that the Criminal Code of Ukraine
is not in complete accordance with this international treaty and so are its provisions
concerning punishment of individuals found guilty of genocide, crimes against humanity and
aggression, war crimes, etc. In the article these provisions are analysed.
