In the article political and legal prerequisites of Halychyna’s annexation by Austria and

Austro-Hungary have been highlighted. The organization of the bodies of judicature and

prosecution is studied. Special attention is paid to the Austrian normative acts that regulated

the organizational and legal principles of the High state procurator’s office in L’viv, L’viv state

procurator’s office and Halychian financial procurator’s office establishment and activity.
