BARTHOLOMEUS GROITS’KYI AND HIS RESEARCH OF MAGDEBURG LAW

Magdeburg law collections, used in the Ukrainian cities and villages and in the
codification process of the XVIII-XIX centuries, are very important for the Magdeburg law
researches. Both Polish and German lawyers were their authors, among them Bartholomeus
Groits’kyi played a leading role. In the article the activity of the Polish researcher of
Magdeburg law-Bartholomeus Groits’kyi – is elucidated, his works are analysed.
