THE DEVELOPMENT OF COPYRIGHT LAW IN THE WESTERN UKRAINIAN LANDS WITHIN POLAND IN THE 20s-30s OF THE XX CENTURY

The article deals with the issues of drafting, adoption and main provisions of the Law of
the Republic of Poland “On copyright” of 29 March, 1926. Special attention is paid to the
analysis of the novels, proposed by the main drafter, professor F. Zoll. Having researched
the law and works of the prominent Polish scholars of the early XX century, the author
comes to the conclusion that the aforementioned law was a step forward in the copyright
law’s development in Europe.
