This article continues the series “On the notion and structure of the domestic
anthropology of law”.
The author analyses historical background of legal anthropology (one of two parts of
Ukrainian anthropology of law), examines its peculiarities, provides its definition, pays
attention to methodology of legal anthropology and to its future trends in Ukraine.
Key words: legal (ethno-legal, socio-legal) anthropology, ethology of law, criminal
anthropology, customary law, ethnologic-anthropologic (socio-anthropologic) approach.
