PECULIARITIES OF THE WETLANDS LEGAL REGIME UNDER THE UKRAINIAN LEGISLATION

The article deals with some peculiarities of the wetlands legal regime, wetlands legal
status under the Ukrainian legislation. Their analysis is important for the planning and taking
measures on preservation, protection and restoration of wetlands and their biodiversity in
Ukraine.
The author enumerates the legal measures, necessary to be taken on the national level
to fill in the gaps in the legislation on wetlands and to guarantee the conservation of
wetlands and their biodiversity in Ukraine.
